From Snow to Sand: A Well-Deserved Escape from the Office to Aruba

After enduring a frosty Midwest winter, a client with top-performing sales team of (and their lucky guests) were more than ready to swap snow boots for flip-flops. And what better way to celebrate success than a tropical getaway to the sunny shores of Aruba?

Departing from sub-zero temps, the group touched down to sunny skies, a perfect 80°F breeze, and the warm island greeting of “Bon Bini!”—Aruba’s way of saying “welcome.”

Their home base for the week? The stunning Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino, which rolled out the red carpet with a seamless check-in, tropical cocktails (Aruba Aribas, of course!), and a vibrant welcome reception that set the tone for an unforgettable experience. Nearly 100 attendees mingled, toasted to their achievements, and began settling into their well-earned slice of paradise.

This enthusiastic group reconvened later in the evening for a proper welcome party on the hotel event lawn. The group got to mingle, partake in delicious passed hors d’oeuvres and an open bar, all to the beat of our live steel drum band.  As an epic finale to this evening the group was surprised as we brought Carnivale to them. A drumline and barrage of colorfully decorated Arubian dancers poured into the event area putting on a grand show and involving the whole party to the beat of Aruba.

While the first day made for an epic start, this crowd’s introduction to Aruba was only just beginning.  The following days consisted of two adrenaline pumping excursions. One group ventured out on a UTV tour, racing through the wind, seeing and learning about the history and architecture of the 10 mile island. The other group ventured out to sea on a Catamaran snorkeling cruise, kept rowdy with their energy infused crew, open bar, and warm island air. This group also got to explore the wildlife of the sea and explore the Antilla shipwreck from 1940.

Downtime is always an important part of our incentives, and this group reveled in their personal time to relax at the resort and explore the island and local shops. An exciting lunch beach party took place with beach games, limbo, a water trampoline, and a great DJ with the group’s favorite music choices to tie it all together.

On the last evening this crowd was still full of energy as they arrived to their beach farewell dinner.  Beautifully set tables, décor, and a live band invited the group in as they celebrated their adventures and shared experiences on the beautiful island. Nighttime at the beach, calls for no better entertainment than a mid-meal fire dancer show. The group watched intently as the dancers wielded fire like an extension of themselves to energetic pop music. What a better way to bring a trip to its conclusion than with great food, picture perfect moments, a dance floor, and an open bar. This group danced the night away, and didn’t let a moment go to waste!
